Rambling into the Void
semper ubi sub ubi
Welcome!
Here I’ll publish pieces that, for one reason or another, are not a good fit for other media. The topic might be too niche for a broad audience (like a philosophical reflection on my hometown), or simply a topic I find interesting and am trying to untangle (like racism vs. love of kin). As the blog name implies, these posts may be more raw and unedited, and they haven’t all been polished up to journalistic standards. The focus is more on the content than the craft; though I hope you’ll find some craft nonetheless in even my duds.
This is also occasionally the dumping-ground for satirical or humor pieces that aren’t a good fit for my (increasingly-defunct) satirical news site, TheDailyInquisition.com. These are often odes to a favorite genre of mine, the humo(u)r column. Consider the posts semi-public writing exercises mainly for my own enjoyment; though I hope these have enough virtue in content and craft to be entertaining to you as well, dear reader (hi mom).
